The Story of Yunara
Yunara is an ancient hero from Ionia. During the great Darkin War, she was known as the "Fist of Shadow" of the Kinkou Order. To protect the First Lands, she made a great sacrifice—sealing a powerful Darkin Glaive in the spirit realm, where she herself fell into a centuries-long slumber.
As ages passed, the potent power of the "Spirit Blossom" awakened Yunara. She returned to a modern Ionia, both familiar and strange, armed with ancient vows and skills. Though separated from the world for millennia, her conviction to eradicate disharmony and protect her homeland remains unshaken, giving her the title "The Unbroken Faith".
Abilities
PassiveVow of the First Lands
Critical strikes deal bonus magic damage, making Yunara a potent threat against high-armor targets.
Pro Tip
This passive is why crit items are core. It allows you to remain a threat even to tanks who stack armor but not magic resist.
QCultivation of Spirit
Passive: Basic attacks grant stacks, up to 8. Attacking champions or landing critical strikes grants more stacks. Active: When fully stacked, Yunara gains bonus attack speed, and her attacks splash for bonus magic damage.
Pro Tip
In lane, try to get a few stacks on minions before trading with the enemy champion. A fully stacked Q is your main trading tool.
WArc of Judgement / Arc of Ruin
Normal: Throws a prayer bead that damages and slows the first enemy hit. Transcendent: Fires a high-damage, slowing laser in a line.
Pro Tip
This is your primary setup tool. Landing the slow from W almost guarantees you can land your full Q burst. Use the R-empowered version to start a teamfight from long range.
EKanmei's Steps / Untouchable Shadows
Normal: Yunara gains a burst of movement speed and can move through units. Transcendent: Yunara dashes a short distance, allowing her to reposition, chase, or escape over terrain.
Pro Tip
Use the normal E to dodge skillshots or to quickly reposition in a fight. The R-empowered dash is your get-out-of-jail-free card; save it to escape assassins or cross walls.
RTranscend One's Self
Yunara enters a transcendent state for 15 seconds, immediately empowering and resetting her basic abilities. This is her ultimate team-fighting tool, turning her into an unstoppable force.
Pro Tip
Do not use this ability to start a 1v1 unless you are sure you can win. It's best used a few seconds into a teamfight, once key enemy cooldowns have been used.
